For a first game, this was a fine debut. Not only did he do well (in limited time because of a five-person rotation), but he was actively engaged and wanted to learn. Nice enthusiasm. I would like to see Cruz continue to work on eye contact and following ball to the goal line. If this is any indication of his ability and willingness to improve, then Cruz should be able to quickly handle competitive, full-sided games.
