Good job working a couple back-to-back teenage boys matches. Your decision and judgement seemed pretty solid to me.
As a reminder, adjust your position and/or viewing angle to get in a better position to see pushes, like the one that occurred near in AR1's quadrant in the first half of your first game. This will help with your game control, especially in games at a higher level or more competative in nature.
In the second game, where I was your AR2, when a hard careless foul or a potentially reckless foul occurs, I'd suggest you take the opportunity to hold up the free kick and have a conversation with the player to make him aware that further actions of this sort will result in a caution. Doing this, as opposed to a private word afterward, will allow you to "be seen" and help you better sell the caution if and when it occurs for fouls committed later in the match (as was the case in this game).

Comments for the Assignor
This was a very 'recreational' type of game, with a lower level of play between two teams that were really just out there to have fun. As such, there wasn't a great deal of game control required or fouls that needed to be called. Much of my observations of what John could have improved on came in the following match (3pm) involving two Rapids teams at the next older age. I outlined this in my comment to him in that section below.
