Ambree needed to move closer to play. At halftime of her first game we discussed this, and she made adjustments with that. But there were still several opportunities for her to position herself closer to dynamic play.
For instance, on multiple occasions, my observation was that she needed to be at least 10 yards closer to the 18 yard line when play was in the penalty area, and/or when the ball was going out of play over the goal line.

From what I saw Ambree didn't make any obvious errors in the rules or laws.

From what I observed and was told by the visiting team's coach, Ambree's whistle was not well heard by players. This was very much compounded by the high wind situation for the day, but I suspect that even in ideal conditions her whistle volume would have been too soft.
Part of the problem was that the whistle she brought to the game was not designed for soccer officiating, and it was on a neck lanyard. At half time of the first game I gave her one of my secondary whistles on a wrist lanyard. That was a help for her during the remainder of the time on the field, but her whistle volume still needed to be louder.
A couple times during her game I encouraged Ambree to whistle louder, and if anything err on the side of being too loud.
