Angel had a pretty good understanding of the game, and a good reading of the direction of play. He took good positions when play was in the central part of the field. However, when play moved wide or towards the penalty area, he would rarely move towards the play... or would walk closer instead of running.

Of all the referees I saw today, I feel as though Angel had the best understanding of the game, and orchestrated the game well.

Teams were accepting of his decision, and benches were very well behaved.

Signals were OK... recommend, when calling fouls, he signal the direction of the foul before indicating any other information (such as where the kick should be taken). A couple fouls calls were confusing to players at first, as he signaled where the kick was to be taken before signaling the direction... initially appeared that he was calling a penalty kick because of where the foul was on the field.
Practice with the whistle... sometimes could not be heard, and players kept going after he tried to stop play.
