Ref Base – Mentor Evaluations

First half, Waleed had minimal movement, was not keeping up with play, and he was not taking up effective positions. We talked at half time about keeping up with play in order to add credibility to his decisions. We talked about being close to play especially when play goes near and enters the penalty area. 2nd half was much better.

Foul recognition was ok, when he was in position. Concerns were when he was trailing too far behind play, and 1) did not have a good angle to view play ; or 2) was too far away to sell a decision.

Players responded positively to Ahmeed, and benches were very well behaved.

Waleed has a bad habit of putting whistle up to mouth and then not blowing it... comes across as undecisive. Recommended he think his decisions through, then put the whistle to mouth once he decides to stop play.
