Some good sprints noted. After the match discussed proper positioning on kickoff and goal kicks. Positioning during the game was generally central. After the game, discussed the importance of getting into the wider channels.

Referee indicated that he talks to the coaches before the game and tells them when he will allow substitutions. He apparently bases the decision on the type and severity of foul. I encouraged him to stop this practice and to instead follow the local rules of competition (DCSL rules). I encouraged him to further gage if it was a quick kick opportunity, to potentially not allow the substitution. Other than that, the substitution should be allowed on any stoppage following the rules of local competition.

Generally good match control. We discussed correct positioning for KOs and GKs and getting wider when needed during normal play. We also discussed following the Duke City rules for substitutions and not going rogue on this (see more specific discussion above).
