Eric is still learning the diagonal method of movement and bracketing the ball with the opposite side AR. It is a work in progress, but Eric was starting to do a better job of moving with purpose. But he still cuts off too much of the field in his movement so he needs to work on that. He has proper positioning on free kicks, but is still working on finding a comfortable spot to be on CKs.

Missed some fouls that could have called and missed a caution that should have been called. To his credit he realized the latter and we discussed afterwards. Made a strong decision on a DOGSO send-off in the closing moments of game.

I'd like to Eric become more verbally engaged with the players, but that is something that comes with experience. Other than that, he was fine.

Comments for the Mentee
Once Eric gets a good handle on his movement across the field on the smaller sides, it will pay dividends as he gets to full-sided games. But he was still having some trouble entirely grasping the concept. Continued guidance in this area will be beneficial, but I think he will understand it. Perhaps lining for an experienced C on a larger field would be a good way to follow movement. Very coachable and seems dedicated to improvement.
