For a first-time center and an adult who was not a player, I was impressed with Muhamed's movement and field presence. This bodes well of his future potential. As with all new refs, following through to get wider and deeper is still a work in progress, but overall, it was pretty solid.

We discussed some issues that Muhamed had with foul recognition/foul bar and he was very receptive. As a matter of fact, he brought up the topic and had some questions and responded well to feedback.

Comments for the Mentee
First off, Muhamed displayed a great attitude and willingness to not only listen to advice, but asked good questions. For a debut, this was a strong effort. Ne needs to pay more attention to his ARs, but it was obvious he was working on that throughout the game. Mechanics can use improvement and needs to get wider during the run of play, but positioning overall was solid. Working on fouls and foul bar, but that's pretty advanced concept for a first-time ref. Can be more assertive with whistle and foul indications.

Overall, this was a strong debut. I like Muhamed's attitude and willingness to learn. He asked questions and readily accepted feedback. He had the middle for the last game of the day, which I could not attend and it would have been interesting to see how he was able to apply what was discussed after first game. He asked for another day of mentoring and I think that would be beneficial.
